Unwritten rules of life

Since I weren’t at my professional writing class this semester I didn’t know anything about unwritten rules. After we discussed about it in our classroom I realized that even I weren’t aware of them at all I were following them.

Here is the first unwritten rule in life that everyone should know: When someone shows you a picture on their phone, don’t swipe left or right … you don’t want to see something embarrassing. Not with standing to this rule I have seen many people in families, taxi, metro, and many other places that not only sweep the pictures of somebody’s cellphone but also they read and look carefully what he or she is typing for others.

The second example is that: Do not talk with food in your mouth.

Another example of these rules is: Let people get off a bus, train, or elevator before you get on.

Still another example of unwritten rules is that: If someone’s wearing headphones or trying to sleep on a plane, they don’t want to talk. Do not bother them!

The most significant example of unwritten rules is that: If you’re not passing someone on the freeway, GET OUT OF THE LEFT LANE. Actually I caot understand why people in my country don’t obey this rule. For sure most of them don’t even pay attention to written traffic or driving rules.

To the conclusion I think unwritten rules all over the world are somehow the same but many people don’t know anything about them and they are following them unconsciously. So if you know more of them which I believe can be much more interesting write about them and let others to know more about them.
